7750 Mod deep date here – as stated before, this is a ‘feature’ of the subdial spacing mod, not much to be done with it.It is noticeable if looking for it. For me, its not a deal breaker, I was/am more concerned with the overall reliability of the movement which hopefully will be good. My previous UPO didn’t make it a year before it had movement issues which was VERY disappointing considering the reason I didn’t get the chrono the first time around was because I felt that the UPO would be a better choice for stability. Its a rep – I’m over it. However I dont like to spend this much money if I dont have to and hope that it lasts at least a couple years.
Water proof? I took it to my local watch shop (not a AD) to have a standard pressure test. He wasn’t able to perform the test without taking off the strap so I didn’t do it. I did swim last night in the pool for a couple of hours with it, down to about 2-3m which is good enough for me generally. I had zero issues. 2-3m is good enough as I’m not going to be free diving any lower than I can go without clearing my ears anyway, which I don’t do when I’m in the pool or free diving.
Overall impression – very satisfied. I love the black rubber on black, I wear this as a sport watch with jeans and a t shirt or around the pool where I am often concerned about scratching a stainless steel bracelet while swimming. All in all, I am very happy with this watch. It looks great, is keeping time and hopefully will be a great daily beater.
